Corgi Characteristics

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a cattle herding dog breed which originated in Pembrokeshire, Wales. It is one of two breeds known as a Welsh Corgi. The other is the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, and both descend from the line that is the northern spitz-type dog

Pembroke corgis are low strung, study little dogs with loyal, loving and intelligent natures.

“Short, irritable little beasts”

Corgi’s are generally loyal to the family unit, intelligent, and playful. However, due to their breeding as herding
dogs, they are very bossy and tend to do things their way. Therefore, it is not recommended to have a corgi around children under the age of 5.

Corgi
s are very smart, very crafty, and very confident little dogs. They do not view themselves as small dogs and can be quite assertive.
